This product is made of dry leaves of Epimedium brevicornum Maxim., Epimedium sagittatum (Sieb.et Zucc.) Maxim., Epimedium pubescens Maxim. or Epimedium koreanum Nakai. . When the stems and leaves are lush in summer and autumn, harvest them to remove thick stems and impurities, and dry them in the sun or in the shade.
The specifications of epimedium are 5%~98% icariin or icariins. The high-purity icariin is light yellow crystalline powder. The feed industry generally uses 5%, 10% low content, brown-yellow powder.
