The yam extract is extracted from the dried tuber of Dioscorea oppositae thunb., a perennial herbaceous plant in the Dioscoreaceae family. The main active ingredients are Dioscin and its aglycon Diosgenin. It also contains d-Abscisin Ⅱ, Mannan, Phytic acid, and dopamine. , Yam alkali (batatasine, 0.025%), abscisin Ⅱ, cholesterol, ergosterol, camps-terol (camps-terol), β-sitosterol, allantoin, batatasin and so on.
The yam extract is a white powder. The water-extracted product is completely soluble in water, and the solution is transparent without precipitation. It is used in food, health care products, etc. as a medicine and food homologous product.
